I said: Its chain of transmission meets the criteria of Muslim. Wakiʿ also followed him. It was recorded by Muslim. And Yaḥyá ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn Sālim and ʿAmr ibn al-Ḥārith. It was recorded by Muslim and al-Bayhaqī. ʿĪsá ibn Yūnus also followed him. It was recorded by Abū Dāwūd. Abū Khālid al-Aḥmar also followed Hishām with it. It was recorded by Ibn Mājah (1/217): Abū Bakr ibn Abī Shaybah narrated to us, Abū Khālid al-Aḥmar narrated it to us. And its wording is: "Scrape it, wash it, and pray in it." Abū Muʿāwiyah also followed, saying: Hishām narrated it to us. It was recorded by Aḥmad (6/345 and 353). Sufyān ibn ʿUyaynah also followed Hishām with it, except that he said: "Scrape it with water, then sprinkle it." It was recorded by al-Tirmidhī (1/254-255), al-Dārimī (1/239), al-Shāfiʿī in "al-Umm" (1/58), and al-Bayhaqī (1/13, 2/406). Al-Tirmidhī said: "And in the chapter [there are narrations] from Abū Hurayrah and Umm Qays bint Miḥṣan." He said: "The ḥadīth of Asmāʾ is ḥasan ṣaḥīḥ."
