it was narrated by al-ʿUqaylī in "al-Ḍuʿafāʾ" (1/53). It is also found in "al-Tārīkh al-Kabīr" (11/287). al-Dhahabī commented on it in "al-Mīzān" by saying: "I said: And who is this unknown?" Dr. al-Qalaʿjī attributed it to al-Ḥāfiẓ in "al-Lisān," which is one of his many errors. 2- As for the ḥadīth of Ibn ʿAbbās; its sourcing has been previously mentioned in the first volume under number (287), and I add here by saying: It was also extracted by al-Ḍiyāʾ al-Maqdisī in "al-Aḥādīth al-Mukhtārah" (61/263/1-2) through the route of Khalaf ibn Khalīfah and others with its previously mentioned isnād from him, and al-Aṣbahānī narrated the first half of it (2/630/1507), and al-Bayhaqī narrated it in "al-Shuʿab" (6/418/8732 and 294/9028) in its entirety. 3- As for the ḥadīth of Kaʿb ibn ʿUjrah; it is narrated by al-Sarī ibn Ismāʿīl from al-Shaʿbī from him. It was extracted by al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Muʿjam al-Kabīr" (19/14/307), and "al-Awsaṭ" (6/301) and he said: "It is not narrated from Kaʿb ibn ʿUjrah except through this isnād." I said: And this al-Sarī is abandoned; as al-Haythamī said (4/312), so the reliance is on the two before him.
