Yazīd ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn Usāmah ibn Zayd al-Laythī and Yaḥyá ibn Saʿīd from Muʿādh ibn Rafāʿah al-Zuraqī from Jābir ibn ʿAbd Allāh said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: ... and he mentioned it. al-Ḥākim said: "Its isnād is authentic from Jābir ibn ʿAbd Allāh (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhu)." al-Dhahabī agreed with him. It was narrated by Ibn ʿAdī (1/032) and al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Muʿjam al-Awsaṭ" (7/374-375) through the route of Abū al-Asbāṭ al-Ḥārithī from Ismāʿīl ibn Shurūs al-Ṣanʿānī from ʿIkrimah from Ibn ʿAbbās: that the funeral for which the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) stood was the funeral of a Jew, and the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: ... and he mentioned it. al-Ṭabarānī said: "No one narrated it from Ismāʿīl ibn Shurūs except Abū al-Asbāṭ."
