"then Nāfiʿ wept." Ibn Kathīr said: "This is a good isnād, but al-Bazzār said: Others narrated it from ʿUbayd Allāh from Nāfiʿ in a mursal form." I said: He did not mention who these "others" are, nor did he provide their isnād, nor do I know them. If it is authentic, it does not harm [the narration] since al-ʿAnqazī narrated it with an isnād following Dāwūd ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān, both from ʿUbayd Allāh ibn ʿUmar, following ʿAbd Allāh ibn Idrīs from him. Thus, these three trustworthy narrators have provided an isnād, so the contradiction of those who narrated it in a mursal form does not harm them, regardless of their status. How could it, when ʿUbayd Allāh ibn ʿUmar was followed in his isnād by Miskīn Abū Fāṭimah from Nāfiʿ from Ibn ʿUmar, as in the ḥadīth of the translation?! It has two concise supporting narrations from the ḥadīth of ʿĀʾishah and Ibn ʿAbbās, whose sources were previously cited under number (1695). (Note): I had relied on the weakening of Abū Ḥātim and al-Dāraquṭnī for (Miskīn ibn ʿAbd Allāh) in the takhrīj of the ḥadīth of (Friday washing) mentioned earlier in this takhrīj. After this investigation, which Allāh guided me to, and tracing those trustworthy narrators who reported from him, I have retracted my weakening of him. I ask Allāh Almighty for more of His grace and success, and Allāh has spoken the truth: "And whatever of blessings you have, it is from Allāh" (Sūrah an-Naḥl, 16:53). Then I found another route for it from Ibn ʿUmar, raised [to the Prophet] with the wording: "Indeed, Saʿd was squeezed in his grave, so I asked Allāh to lighten it for him." It was recorded by al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Muʿjam al-Kabīr" (3/205/2) from ʿAbd al-Salām ibn Ḥarb from ʿAṭāʾ ibn al-Sāʾib from Mujāhid from Ibn ʿUmar (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhu) who said. The Throne shook for the love of meeting Allāh with Saʿd, and he was the last of them to leave his grave, the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: ... and he mentioned it
