and the ḥadīth of Abū Dharr has been reported through another chain from him in a similar manner, but longer, containing weakness, disconnection, and oddity. It is also with al-Bazzār (2271). See my commentary on it in "Ḍaʿīf Zawāʾid al-Bazzār." Perhaps some may wonder and say: Are the mentioned corroborations broader than the ḥadīth of the chapter? I say: There is no harm in that; because the broader can serve as a corroboration for the lesser, and not vice versa, as is not hidden from the people of knowledge. Especially since in the path of Abū Dharr mentioned earlier, there is detail that confirms this and clarifies that the weight increased; in it: "Two angels came to me... one of them said: Weigh him against a man, so I was weighed against a man and I outweighed him..." the ḥadīth, and in it: "Then he said: Weigh him against a thousand, so he weighed me against a thousand and I outweighed them, then one of them said to the other: If you weighed him against his nation, he would outweigh them..." the ḥadīth. *Among his miracles (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam)

- (Would you like me to show you a sign? And he had palm trees and a tree with him, so the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) called a branch from it, and it came to him, bowing and raising its head, until it reached him and stood before him. The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said to it: "Return to your place," so it returned to its place). It was narrated by Abū Isḥāq al-Ḥarbī in "Gharīb al-Ḥadīth" (5/84/1), Abū Yaʿlá in "Musnad" (4/236-237), Ibn Ḥibbān (2111- Mawārid), and al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Muʿjam al-Kabīr" (21/100/12595) - and the context is his - and Abū Nuʿaym in "al-Dalāʾil" (335), as well as al-Bayhaqī (6/16-17) from the chains of ʿAbd al-Wāḥid ibn Ziyād: narrated by al-Aʿmash from Sālim ibn Abī al-Jaʿd from Ibn ʿAbbās who said:
