third: ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Abī Laylá: It was narrated by al-Marwazī in "Zawāʾid al-Zuhd" (1159), al-Ṭabarānī (714), and al-Bazzār (3095 - Zawāʾid) through the route of Layth ibn Abī Sulaym from al-Ḥakam ibn ʿUtaybah from him. and the ḥadīth was narrated: by Sharīk from ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz ibn Rufayʿ from Abū ʿUmar from Umm al-Dardāʾ who said: Abū al-Dardāʾ was visited... and she mentioned the ḥadīth within a story. It was narrated by al-Nasāʾī in "ʿAmal al-Yawm wa-al-Laylah" (148), and al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Duʿāʾ" (707). And Sharīk; his memory was poor. As for Abū ʿUmar - the narrator from Abū al-Dardāʾ - a group narrated from him, but he was not deemed reliable, and the ḥāfiẓ Ibn Ḥajar said: "Acceptable, and his narration from Abū al-Dardāʾ is mursal." I said: Perhaps the ḥāfiẓ relied on the narration of Sharīk; and in it is what I mentioned! As for the ḥadīth of Abū Dharr: its sourcing has been previously mentioned in this "series" (1125), and to its sources should be added: Ibn Khuzaymah (748), al-Ḥumaydī (133), and al-Marwazī in "Zawāʾid al-Zuhd" (1157); and the first two added: "and at your sleep, the same."
