I did not say: "according to the criteria of the two shaykhs" because al-Bukhārī did not transmit from Maʿmar on the authority of Thābit in his "Ṣaḥīḥ" except as a suspended narration; as al-Ḥāfiẓ Ibn Ḥajar mentioned in "Hady al-Sārī" (pp. 444-445), whereas Muslim transmitted it directly. In "Tuḥfat al-Ashrāf" (1/150-154) by al-Ḥāfiẓ al-Mizzī, the isnāds of Maʿmar are presented in the manner Ibn Ḥajar indicated. The ḥadīth of the chapter has supporting evidence from Ibn ʿUmar; I have referenced it in "al-Irwāʾ" (818). *
