"al-Mishkāt" (5185). and his (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) saying to Abū Ṭalḥah al-Anṣārī—when he resolved to give in charity his most beloved wealth to him (Bayrūḥāʾ)—"That is a profitable wealth" (twice). al-Bukhārī (1461). And the ḥadīth of the father of Abū al-Aḥwaṣ when he asked him (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam): "Do you have any wealth?" He said: Allāh has given me of every kind of wealth; from camels, sheep, horses, and slaves. "Ghāyat al-Marām" (63/75). From here, the scholars interpreted his (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) saying in the ḥadīth of the chapter: "his wealth": meaning: his slaves; this was asserted by the notable Abū al-Ḥasan al-Sindī in his commentary on "al-Nasāʾī." ʿAlī al-Qārī said in "al-Mirqāt" (5/23-24): "like slaves, maidservants, mounts, tents, and the like." al-Ḥāfiẓ said in "al-Fatḥ" (11/365): "His saying: 'his family and his wealth follow him' this occurs mostly, and perhaps a deceased is followed only by his deeds, and what is meant is those who follow his funeral from his family, companions, and mounts as was customary among the Arabs." I said: And similarly today, the relatives of the deceased go out; among them his children in their cars to escort and bury him
" المشكاة" (٥١٨٥) . وقوله ﷺ لأبي طلحة الأنصاري- لما عزم على أن يتصدق بأحب أمواله إليه (بَيْرُحاء) -:"ذلك مال رابح " (مرتين) . البخاري (١٤٦١) . وحديث والد أبي الأحوص لما سأله ﷺ: "هل عندك من مال؟ ". قال:من كل المال آتاني الله؛ من الإبل والغنم والخيل والرقيق. "غاية المرام " (٦٣/٧٥) . ومن هنا فسر العلماء قوله ﷺ في حديث الترجمة: "ماله ":"أي: عبيده "؛ جزم به العلامة أبو الحسن السندي في حاشيته على "النسائي ". وقال علي القارئ في "المرقاة" (٥/٢٣- ٤ ٢) :"كالعبيد والإماء والدابة والخيمة ونحوها". وقال الحافظ في "الفتح " (١١/٣٦٥) :"قوله: "يتبعه أهله وماله " هذا يقع في الأغلب، ورُبَّ ميت لا يتبعه إلا عمله فقط، والمراد مَن يتبع جنازته من أهله ورفقته ودوابه على ما جرت به عادة العرب ". قلت: ونحوه اليوم خروج أقارب الميت؛ وفيهم أولاده في سياراتهم لتشييعه ودفنه.
