I said: this is an error from two perspectives: one is his correction of Muslim, although he did narrate it. The other is his authentication according to al-Bukhārī's criteria; neither al-Miqdām nor his father were used as evidence by al-Bukhārī. *Expiation for the burial of daughters

- (Set free a slave for each one of them, he said: I am a man with camels? He said: then sacrifice (in another narration: offer if you wish) a camel for each one of them). It was narrated by al-Bazzār (3/78/2280 - Kashf al-Astār), al-Ṭabarānī (18/333/863), and al-Bayhaqī (8/116), as well as Ibn Abī Ḥātim as in "Tafsīr Ibn Kathīr" (4/478), and Ibn Mandah - as in "al-Iṣābah" - all from the route of ʿAbd al-Razzāq: I am Isrāʾīl from Simāk ibn Ḥarb from al-Nuʿmān ibn Bashīr from ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb regarding the verse: (And when the girl [who was] buried alive is asked) (Sūrah al-Takwīr, verse 8). He said: Qays ibn ʿĀṣim came to the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) and said: O Messenger of Allāh! I buried [eight] daughters of mine in the pre-Islamic period? He said: ... and he mentioned it, and al-Bazzār said: "We do not know it to be narrated from ʿUmar except through this route, and it was not narrated from him except by ʿAbd al-Razzāq from Isrāʾīl, and we have not heard it except from (al-Ḥusayn), and ʿAbd al-Razzāq was contradicted in his isnād from Isrāʾīl." I said: its narrators are trustworthy, the narrators of Muslim; except for (al-Ḥusayn) the shaykh of al-Bazzār, who is (Ibn Mahdī al-Abullī); he is considered trustworthy by Ibn Ḥibbān (8/188), truthful by Abū Ḥātim (3/65/294), and also by Ibn Khuzaymah and Ibn Ḥibbān in their "Ṣaḥīḥ" collections
