I said: This is how it appears in the original; it does not include "Ibn Zuhr," though it is in the two previous sources from the narration of Yaḥyā ibn Ayyūb from him from Layth. And Allāh knows best. In summary, if these paths do not add strength to the first path, they will not weaken it. It has supporting evidence from the ḥadīth of Jābir (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhu) in a raised form with the wording: "Indeed, there will come to you those seeking knowledge, so welcome them, give them glad tidings, and be accommodating." It was recorded by al-Rāmahurmuzī from Zanbūr al-Kūfī, who narrated to us from Rawād ibn al-Jarrāḥ from al-Minhāl ibn ʿAmr from a man from him. This is a weak chain, due to the unnamed man, and I could not find a biography for Zanbūr. The main reliance is on what has been previously mentioned. There are two other paths for the ḥadīth from Abū Saʿīd, and another supporting evidence from Abū Hurayrah with very weak chains, so I refrained from mentioning them, and what we have mentioned is sufficient. I have discussed one of the two paths referred to in our commentary on "al-Aḥkām al-Kubrā" by ʿAbd al-Ḥaqq al-Ishbīlī (ḥadīth number 71) and authenticated it. Then I found another supporting evidence for the ḥadīth. Al-Dārimī (1/99) said: Ismāʿīl ibn Abān informed us, Yaʿqūb, who is al-Qummī, narrated to us from ʿĀmir ibn Ibrāhīm who said: "Whenever Abū al-Dardāʾ saw seekers of knowledge, he would say: Welcome to the seekers of knowledge, and he used to say: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) advised us regarding you." I said: This chain's narrators are reliable except for ʿĀmir ibn Ibrāhīm, whom I did not recognize, and he is not ʿĀmir ibn Wāqid al-Aṣbahānī, as this one is from the teachers of al-Qummī who died in the year (174), and the other is from the narrators from al-Qummī, and died in the year (202), unless it is from the narration of the seniors from the juniors.
