the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) sent me on a mission, and when I returned, he said to me, "How do you find yourself?" I said, "I continued [working] until I thought I had servants with me! By Allāh! I will never work on two [missions] again." It was recorded by al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Kabīr" (20/258-259). Al-Haythamī said after citing the previous ḥadīth of al-Miqdād: "It was narrated by al-Ṭabarānī, and its narrators are those of 'al-Ṣaḥīḥ'; except for ʿUmayr ibn Isḥāq, who was deemed reliable by Ibn Ḥibbān and others, but weakened by Ibn Maʿīn and others, and ʿAbd Allāh ibn Aḥmad is trustworthy and reliable." And I say: No one narrated from him except ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿAwn, so someone like him is used for support but not as evidence. Especially since Ibn Maʿīn and others have weakened him. However, attributing weakness to Ibn Maʿīn without qualification is not correct; rather, it should be restricted with a statement like "in a narration," as he has deemed him reliable in another narration. His reliability of ʿAbd Allāh is without doubt, but this might mislead someone who has not seen the ḥadīth with al-Ṭabarānī into thinking that ʿAbd Allāh was the only one who narrated it! This is not the case; it was also recorded through other routes, so clarification is necessary. *- (A cursed man will enter upon you. Meaning: al-Ḥakam ibn Abī al-ʿĀṣ.) It was recorded by Aḥmad (2/163), and al-Bazzār in "Musnad" (2/247) through the route of ʿAbd Allāh ibn Numayr: narrated to us by ʿUthmān ibn Ḥakīm from Abū Umāmah ibn Sahl ibn Ḥunayf from ʿAbd Allāh
بعثني النبي ﷺ مبعثاً، فلما رجعت قال لي:"كيف تجد نفسك؟ ". قلت: ما زلت حتى ظننت أن معي خولاً لي! وايمُ الله! لا أعمل على رجلين بعدها أبداً. أخرجه الطبراني في "الكبير" (٢٠/٢٥٨- ٢٥٩) . قال الهيثمي عقب تخريج حديث المقداد السابق:"رواه الطبراني، ورجاله رجال "الصحيح "؛ خلا عمير بن إسحاق، وثقه ابن حبان وغيره، وضعفه ابن معين وغيره، وعبد الله بن أحمد ثقة مأمون ". وأقول: لم يرو عنه غير عبد الله بن عون، فمثله يستشهد به ولا يحتج به. وبخاصة أن ابن معين وغيره قد ضعفه (١) . لكن إطلاق نسبة الضعف إلى ابن معين ليس بجيد، بل يجب تقييده بمثل قوله: "في رواية"؛ فإنه قد وثقه في رواية أخرى. وتوثيقه لعبد الله مما لا شك فيه، لكن ذلك قد يوهم من لم يقف على الحديث عند الطبراني أن عبد الله تفرد به! وليس كذلك؛ فقد أخرجه من غير طريقه أيضاً، فاقتضى التنبيه. *- (لَيدخُلنَّ عليكُم رجلٌ لَعِينٌ. يعني: الحكم بن أبي العاص) . أخرجه أحمد (٢/١٦٣) ، والبزار في "مسنده " (٢/٢٤٧) من طريق عبد الله بن نُمير: ثنا عثمان بن حكيم عن أبي أمامة بن سهل بن حُنيف عن عبد الله
