- (When one of you sells a sheep or a cow, he should not artificially increase its milk). It was recorded by ʿAbd al-Razzāq in "al-Muṣannaf" (8/198/14864), and through his route: al-Nasāʾī (2/214), Ibn Ḥibbān (7/224/4948), and Aḥmad (2/273-274), all from ʿAbd al-Razzāq who said: Maʿmar informed us from Yaḥyá ibn Abī Kathīr who said: Abū Kathīr informed me that he heard Abū Hurayrah say: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: ... and he mentioned it. I say: This isnād is authentic according to the criteria of Muslim. ʿAlī ibn al-Mubārak corroborated it from Yaḥyá ibn Abī Kathīr with the same. It was recorded by Aḥmad (4/481). Its isnād is also authentic. It was also recorded by the two Shaykhs and the authors of "al-Sunan" and others through numerous routes, with similar wording from Abū Hurayrah, and it is extensively documented in "Aḥādīth al-Buyūʿ." It is a strong corroboration for the ḥadīth of Anas: "He prohibited the sale of artificially milked animals," which I had documented in "al-Ḍaʿīfah" (4726) due to the weakness of its isnād, and consequently, I included it in "Ḍaʿīf al-Jāmiʿ"; so let it be transferred from them. *
