al-Ṭabarānī said—regarding the other narration—"No one narrated it from Ibrāhīm ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn ʿAwf except his son, and no one narrated it from Ibrāhīm ibn Saʿd except Ibn Wahb, and Harmalah was unique in narrating it." I said: He is trustworthy, from the teachers of Muslim, and those above him are trustworthy from the narrators of al-Bukhārī and Muslim, so it is a ṣaḥīḥ isnād according to the criteria of Muslim. al-Ḥākim said—and al-Dhahabī followed him—"Ṣaḥīḥ according to their criteria"!! al-Dhahabī mentioned it in "al-Siyar" (1/425) without comment, and the commentator did not extract it at all, and his statement was altered from "from his grandfather" to "from whoever narrated it to him," thus corrupting its isnād! al-Haythamī made an error in its extraction; he said (9/296): "al-Ṭabarānī narrated it in 'al-Awsaṭ', and Aḥmad in a summarized form, and their narrators are the narrators of 'al-Ṣaḥīḥ', and al-Bazzār narrated it with a weak isnād, and in a narration by Aḥmad: that when he was brought milk, he laughed." The error is that he implied it was with the others—especially with al-Bazzār—from a single path, which is not the case as will become clear to you from the following extraction: Among those paths is what Sufyān—al-Thawrī—narrated from Ḥabīb ibn Abī Thābit from Abū al-Bakhtarī who said: ʿAmmār said on the day of (Ṣiffīn): "Bring me a drink of milk; for the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: 'The last drink you will have in this world is a drink of milk'; so he was brought a drink of milk, he drank it, then advanced, and was killed."
وقال الطبراني- والرواية الأخرى- له:"لم يروه عن إبراهيم بن عبد الرحمن بن عوف إلا ولده، ولا رواه عن إبراهيمابن سعد إلا ابن وهب، تفرد به حرملة". قلت: هو ثقة من شيوخ مسلم، ومن فوقه ثقات من رجال الشيخين، فهوإسناد صحيح على شرط مسلم. وقال الحاكم- وتبعه الذهبي-:"صحيح على شرطهما"!! وأورده الذهبي في "السير" (١/٤٢٥) ساكتاً عليه، ولم يُخرِّجه المعلِّق عليهألبتة، وتحرف عليه قوله: "عن جده " إلى "عمن حدثه "، فأفسد إسناده! والحديث خبط الهيثمي في تخريجه؛ فقال (٩/٢٩٦) :"رواه الطبراني في "الأ وسط "، وأحمد باختصار، ورجالهما رجال "الصحيح "، ورواه البزار بإسناد ضعيف، وفي رواية لأحمد: أنه لما أتي باللبن ضحك ". ووجه الخبط أنه أوهم أنه عند الآخرين- وبخاصة عند البزار- من طريقواحدة، وليس كذلك كما سيتبين لك من التخريج الآتي:فمن تلك الطرق: ما رواه سفيان- وهو الثوري- عن حبيب بن أبي ثابت عنأبي البختري قال: قال عمار يوم (صفين) :ائتوني بشربة لبن؛ فإن رسول الله ﷺ قال:"آخر شربة تشربها من الدنيا شربة لبن "؛ فأتي بشربة لبن فشربها، ثم تقدم،فقُتِل.
