"we do not know of Rabīʿah narrating from ʿAmmār except this." I said: Rabīʿah is unknown, and in the chain to him is Yaḥyá ibn Salamah ibn Kuhayl, who is abandoned. Among them: from ʿĪsá ibn Muslim—who was called Abū Dāwūd al-Aʿmá— from ʿAbd al-Aʿlá ibn ʿĀmir al-Thaqafī from ʿAbd Allāh ibn Sharīk al-ʿĀmirī from Muslim ibn Mikhraq from Mikhrāq, the freedman of Ḥudhayfah, who said: I said to ʿAmmār ... and he mentioned it in brief similarly. It was extracted by al-Bazzār (2691), and ʿĪsá and ʿAbd al-Aʿlá are weak. Among them: from a female servant of ʿAmmār ibn Yāsir, she said: ʿAmmār fell ill with an illness from which he became unconscious, then he regained consciousness while we were crying around him. He said: Why are you crying?! Do you fear that I will die in my bed?! My beloved ﷺ informed me that the rebellious group will kill me, and my last provision will be a sip of milk. It was extracted by Abū Yaʿlá (1614), and from him by Ibn ʿAsākir (12/635), and its narrators are trustworthy, except for the female servant of ʿAmmār, who is unknown. The ḥadīth has two supporting narrations: the first from Ḥudhayfah, and there are two chains from him: the first from ʿĪsá ... etc. The other: from Muslim ibn ʿAbd Allāh al-Aʿwar from Ḥabbah al-ʿUrnī, who said: We entered with Abū Masʿūd al-Anṣārī to Ḥudhayfah ibn al-Yamān to ask him about the tribulations.
