I said: and that is because a companion is a dragger, and nature is a thief. Therefore, the ḥadīths have repeatedly come to prohibit associating with disbelievers, mingling with them, and living among them, and these are well-known. Therefore, we have been—and continue to be—advising Muslims not to settle in the lands of the polytheists, especially those who are morally lax and deceitful, like the Jews, for example, in America, and even in the occupied Palestine among them, due to their wickedness and depravity, and their disregard for their honor, which is well-known about them. Their contagion has appeared in some of the Muslims who live among them in Haifa, Jaffa, Tel Aviv, and other lands they have occupied and dominated, with no prayer, no modesty, and no shame, to the point that you can hardly distinguish a Muslim girl from a Jewish one due to the strong resemblance between them in their immodesty! Travelers to those places observe that the further Muslims live from the mentioned cities, the less they are affected by the Jews' seduction and their nighttime raids on homes. The stories about this are well-known and denied only by a stubborn denier, and if space allowed, we would recount many of them. On this occasion, I say: this legal truth—on one hand—and the unfortunate reality—on the other—have been ignored by a group of those with desires and blind partisanship, led by that truly "poor" one, who waged a fierce war against the writer of these lines for advocating the emigration of Palestinian Muslims from the oppression and tyranny of the Jews to an Islamic country where they could find peace and escape from their corruption. This was in a khuṭbah delivered at the Hamzah Mosque in Amman on Friday, the twentieth of Dhū al-Ḥijjah in the year 1413, which he turned into a political sermon for the benefit of upcoming personal elections, from which none of the listeners gained knowledge or remembrance, but rather sowed enmity and hatred in their hearts against a fellow Muslim brother, whom the preacher falsely accused of things he did not do, claiming that he "demands the evacuation of the occupied lands so they become exclusively for the Children of Israel"! Then he began to accuse him of every calamity, saying:
قلت: وذلك لأن الصاحب ساحب، والطبع سرّاق، ولذلك جاءت الأحاديث تترى في النهي عن مجاورة الكفار، ومخالطتهم، ومساكنتهم، وهي معروفة. ولذلك كنا- وما زلنا- ننصح المسلمين أن لا يستوطنوا بلاد المشركين، وبخاصة منهم المتحللين خلقاً ومكراً كاليهود مثلاً في أمريكا، بل وفي فلسطين المحتلة منهم؛ لفسقهم وفجورهم، وتهاونهم في أعراضهم، مما هو مشهور عنهم. وقد ظهرت عدواهم في بعض من يساكنهم من المسلمين في (حيفا) و (يافا) و (تل أبيب) وغيرها من البلاد التي احتلُّوها وتغلبوا عليها، فلا صلاة ولا حشمة ولا حياء، حتى لا تكاد تميز الفتاة المسلمة من اليهودية لشدة المشابهة بينهما في التبرج! ومما يلاحظه المسافرون إلى هناك أنه كلما كان المسلمون بعيدين في مساكنهم عن البلاد المذكورة؛ كانت الفتنة باليهود ومداهمتهم للبيوت ليلاً أقل تأثراً وانحرافاً. والقصص في ذلك معروفة لا ينكرها إلا جاحد مكابر، ولولا ضيق المجال لسردنا الكثير الكثير منها. وبهذه المناسبة أقول: لقد تجاهل هذه الحقيقة الشرعية- من جهة-، والواقعية المؤسفة- من جهة أخرى- جماعةٌ من ذوي الأهواء والحزبية العمياء، وعلى رأسهم ذاك (الفقير) حقاً، الذي أثارها حرباً شعواء على كاتب هذه السطور؛ لقوله بهجرة المسلمين الفلسطينيين من ظلم اليهود وطغيانهم إلى بلد إسلامي يجدون فيه الطمأنينة والخلاص من فسادهم. وذلك في خطبة ألقاها في مسجد حمزة في عمان يوم الجمعة في العشرين من ذي الحجة سنة (١٤١٣) ، أدارها خطبة سياسية لمصلحة الانتخابات القادمة الشخصية، لا يستفيد منها أحد من السامعين للخطبة علماً ولا ذكراً، وإنما ما يلقي العداوة والبغضاء في قلوبهم ضد أخ لهم مسلم، يبهته الخطيب بماليس فيه زاعماً أنه "يطالب تفريغ الأراضي المحتلة حتى تصبح خالصة لبني إسرائيل "! ثم أخذ يرميه بكل باقعة فيقول:
