(1/386/562 and 578), and al-Bayhaqī in "al-Shuʿab" (7/54/9435), and Aḥmad (4/404-405), from the route of Abū Burdah from Abū Mūsá from the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam), and Abū Kabshah followed him, saying: I heard Abū Mūsá say it: ... and he mentioned it in brief. It was recorded by Aḥmad (4/408) from the route of ʿĀṣim al-Aḥwal from him. Its narrators are trustworthy, the narrators of the two Shaykhs; except for this Abū Kabshah—who is al-Sudūsī al-Baṣrī; al-Dhahabī said: "He is unknown." Anas followed him from Abū Mūsá with it. It was recorded by al-Ṭayālisī in "Musnad" (no. 515): Ḥammād ibn Salamah narrated to us from Thābit from Anas with it; Abū Dāwūd did not elevate it. I say: And this isnād is authentic according to the conditions of Muslim. It has also been reported elevated through two other routes from Anas, not mentioning Abū Mūsá. It was recorded by Abū Dāwūd in "Sunan" (4829) from Qatādah from him. And at its beginning, there is an addition. I say: And its isnād is authentic according to their conditions. Then it was narrated by Abū Dāwūd (4831), and Abū Yaʿlá in "Musnad" (no. 2954) from two routes from Shubayl ibn ʿAzrah from Anas with it. And its isnād is ḥasan; due to the disagreement regarding this Shubayl. (Note) Among the benefits of this ḥadīth is what al-Bayhaqī titled: "Chapter on Avoiding the Wicked and Innovators, and Those Who Do Not Assist You in Obeying Allāh."
