I said: It is a good isnād if ʿAbd al-Raḥmān preserved it, otherwise, the isnād of Khālid ibn Maʿdān from al-Miqdām is more authentic. (Note): The name of the Companion of this ḥadīth is missing from "al-Majmaʿ"; it appears like this: "and from a man who had companionship, he said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said..." So I do not know whether it is from al-Haythamī, the copyist, or the printer?! The ḥadīth has a corroborating narration from ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿAmr, elevated, similar to the wording of Qays al-Judhāmī, except that it does not mention the third characteristic, making the characteristics five in "al-Majmaʿ"; and he said: "It was narrated by al-Ṭabarānī, and in it is ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Ziyād ibn Anʿam, who is weak." The last section has a corroborating narration from Abū al-Dardāʾ, elevated, with the wording: "The martyr intercedes for seventy of his family members." It was recorded by Abū Dāwūd (2522), Ibn Ḥibbān (1612), and Ibn ʿAsākir in "al-Tārīkh" (17/321/2) with a chain containing an unknown successor, as clarified in "Ṣaḥīḥ Sunan Abī Dāwūd" (2277) and "al-Taʿlīq al-Raghīb" (2/192). Some sections have other corroborating narrations in "al-Majmaʿ", so whoever wishes may refer to them.
