and since this ḥadīth is narrated by Qutaybah from Ibn Lahīʿah, I have decided to move it from "al-Ḍaʿīfah" to here, especially since it is supported by the mursal report of ʿUrwah ibn al-Zubayr.

- (I am your portion from the prophets, and you are my portion from the nations). It was recorded by Ibn Ḥibbān (2304), Ibn Shāhīn in "al-Afrād" (Q 4/1), al-Bazzār (3/321/2847), and Abū Nuʿaym in "Akhbār Aṣbahān" (2/224-225) through the route of Abū Kurayb Muḥammad ibn al-ʿAlāʾ: narrated to us Zayd ibn al-Ḥubāb: narrated to us Sufyān al-Thawrī from Abū Isḥāq from Abū Ḥabībah al-Ṭāʾī from Abū al-Dardāʾ who said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: ... and he mentioned it. Al-Bazzār said: "We do not know it to be narrated from the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) except by Abū al-Dardāʾ, and we do not know it to be narrated from Zayd ibn al-Ḥubāb except by Abū Kurayb." So he said! And although Abū Kurayb is a trustworthy narrator from the two Shaykhs [al-Bukhārī and Muslim], he was not the only one to narrate it; for Ibn Shāhīn said after him: "And it is a ṣaḥīḥ ḥadīth, supported by Abū ʿĀmir al-Asadī from al-Thawrī." And I say: This corroboration was recorded by al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Kabīr," as it was mentioned by al-Haythamī in "Majmaʿ al-Zawāʾid" (1/174) in more detail, saying: "And from Abū al-Dardāʾ who said: ʿUmar brought compilations from the Torah to the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam), and said: O Messenger of Allāh! Compilations from the Torah that I took from a brother of mine from Banū Zurayq. The face of the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) changed, and ʿAbdullāh ibn Zayd—who was shown the adhān—said: Has Allāh obliterated your mind?! Do you not see what is on his face?"
