not good due to the disconnection within it, and also because Abū Isḥāq—who is al-Sabīʿī—is a mudallis and mixed up; unless he means it is good due to its supporting evidence, then it is as he said, but he did not clarify. it is strengthened by another route found in al-Tirmidhī (2/184/593) through the path of Abū Bakr ibn ʿAyyāsh from ʿĀṣim from Zur ibn Ḥubaysh from ʿAbd Allāh who said: I was praying; and the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) and Abū Bakr and ʿUmar were with him. When I sat, I began with praise to Allāh, then prayer upon the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam), then I supplicated for myself. The Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: "Ask and you shall be given, ask and you shall be given." Al-Tirmidhī said: "A ḥasan ṣaḥīḥ ḥadīth." I said: Its isnād is ḥasan, and it was also reported by Aḥmad (1/445) through another route from Zāʾidah: ʿĀṣim ibn Abī al-Najūd narrated to us the last part of it in another story. It was also narrated by Shuʿbah from Abū Isḥāq from Abū ʿUbaydah from ʿAbd Allāh. It was reported by Aḥmad (1/386 and 437); see "Takhrīj al-Mukhtārah" (455) and "al-Mishkāt" (931).
