"its isnād is authentic, and such a statement cannot be made from mere opinion." I said: It is supported by the fact that what precedes it corresponds to the current reality, which cannot be known except through revelation. And ʿAbd Allāh ibn Abī al-Aswad is: the son of Muḥammad ibn Abī al-Aswad al-Baṣrī, Abū Bakr, and he is a trustworthy ḥāfiẓ. *
"وسنده صحيح، ومثله لا يقال من قبل الرأي ". قلت: ويؤيده مطابقة ما قبلها للواقع اليوم مما لا يُعلم إلا بالوحي. وعبد الله بن أبي الأسود هو: ابن محمد بن أبي الأسود البصري أبو بكر، وهوثقة حافظ. *
(Indeed, in the land of Abyssinia, there is a king under whom no one is wronged. So, go to his land until Allāh provides you relief and a way out from what you are experiencing). It was narrated by al-Bayhaqī in "al-Sunan" (9/9) and in "al-Dalāʾil" (2/301) through the route of Ibn Isḥāq: He told me al-Zuhrī from Abū Bakr ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn al-Ḥārith ibn Hishām from Umm Salamah (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhā), the wife of the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam), that she said: When Makkah became constricted for us, and the Companions of the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) were harmed and put to trial, and they saw what befell them of tribulation and trial in their religion, and that the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) could not repel that from them, while the Messenger of Allāh was protected by his people and his uncle, and nothing of what he disliked reached him; unlike what his Companions faced, the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said to them: ... so he mentioned it, and we went out to it in groups until we gathered and settled in the best of lands with the best of neighbors, secure in our religion, and we did not fear any injustice from him ... and he mentioned the ḥadīth in full. This is how it is in "al-Sunan," and he narrated it in full over four pages. The ḥadīth is in "Sīrah Ibn Hishām" (1/343) from Ibn Isḥāq who said: ... so he mentioned it similarly, thus mursal without mentioning its isnād, and its wording is: "If you were to go out to the land of Abyssinia; for there is a king under whom no one is wronged, and it is a land of truth, until Allāh provides ... (إنَّ بأرضِ الحبشةِ مَلِكاً لا يُظلمُ أحدٌ عنده، فالحقُواببلادِه حتّى يجعل اللهُ لكم فرجاً ومخرجاً مّما أنتُم فيهِ) . أخرجه البيهقي في "السنن " (٩/٩) وفي "الدلائل " (٢/ ٣٠١) من طريق ابن إسحاق: حدثني الزهري عن أبي بكر بن عبد الرحمن بن الحارث بن هشام عن أم سلمة ﵂ زوج النبي ﷺ أنها قالت: لما ضاقت علينا مكة، وأوذي أصحاب رسول الله ﷺ، وفُتنوا، ورأوا ما يصيبهم من البلاء والفتنة في دينهم، وأن رسول الله ﷺ لا يستطيع دفع ذلك عنهم، وكان رسول الله في مَنَعة من قومه وعمه، لا يصل إليه شيء مما يكره؛ مما ينال أصحابه، فقال لهم رسول الله ﷺ: ... فذكره، فخرجنا إليها أرسالاً حتى اجتمعنا ونزلنا بخير دار إلى خير جار، أمنَّا على ديننا، ولم نخشى منه ظلماً ... وذكر الحديث بطوله. كذا في "السنن "، وقد ساقه بطوله في أربع صفحات. والحديث في "سيرة ابن هشام " (١/٣٤٣) عن ابن إسحاق قال: ... فذكرهنحوه، هكذا معضلاً لم يسق إسناده، ولفظه:"لو خرجتم إلى أرض الحبشة؛ فإن بها ملكاً لا يُظلم عنده أحد، وهي أرضصدق، حتى يجعل الله ... " الحديث.
