the narration according to Ibn Khuzaymah, which we found to have no defect, and it seems that for this reason, the ḥāfiẓ remained silent about it in "al-Talkhīṣ" as previously mentioned, and likewise in "al-Fatḥ" (1/333). All of them agree in indicating the purity of semen, and the ḥadīth of the narration is the clearest and strongest in indication, as is evident. Therefore, the opinion of its purity is the correct one, which is held by al-Shāfiʿī, Aḥmad, and the scholars of ḥadīth, as mentioned in "al-Fatḥ."
- (Ibn al-Khaṭṭāb has done well (in another narration: has spoken the truth)) It was recorded by Aḥmad (5/368): Muḥammad ibn Jaʿfar narrated to us: Shuʿbah narrated to us from al-Azraq ibn Qays from ʿAbd Allāh ibn Rabāḥ from a man among the Companions of the Prophet ﷺ: that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ prayed the ʿAṣr prayer, and a man stood up to pray [after it], and ʿUmar saw him [and took hold of his cloak or garment] and said to him, "Sit down, for what destroyed the People of the Book was that there was no separation in their prayers." The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: ... and he mentioned it in the first narration. It was also recorded by Abū Yaʿlá in his "Musnad" (13/107/7166), he said: Muḥammad ibn Bashshār narrated to us: Muḥammad narrated to us: and this isnād is authentic, all its narrators are trustworthy according to the criteria of Muslim, except for the Companion who was not named, and this does not harm [the narration] because all the Companions are considered just. Shuʿbah was corroborated, as ʿAbd al-Razzāq said in "al-Muṣannaf" (2/432/3973): from ʿAbd Allāh ibn Saʿīd who said: al-Azraq ibn Qays informed me, he said: I heard ʿAbd Allāh ibn Rabāḥ al-Anṣārī with it, and the second narration with additions is his. This isnād is also authentic, and ʿAbd Allāh ibn Saʿīd is Ibn Abī Hind al-Fazārī, a trustworthy narrator from the two Shaykhs [al-Bukhārī and Muslim], mentioned by the ḥāfiẓ al-Mizzī among the shaykhs of ʿAbd al-Razzāq
