al-Bayhaqī paired Ibn Lahīʿah with al-Layth. ʿAmrū ibn Dīnār followed Abū al-Zubayr. Al-Ḥumaydī said in "Musnad" (523/1246): Sufyān narrated to us, saying; ʿAmrūkum, if Allāh wills, said: I heard Jābir ibn ʿAbd Allāh with a similar narration, and in it: "A man moved away from behind him and prayed alone." Sufyān said: I asked ʿAmrū ibn Dīnār: Abū al-Zubayr says: The Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: "Recite (Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High) ..."? ʿAmrū replied: It is this or something like this. It was also narrated by Abū ʿAwānah in his "Ṣaḥīḥ" (2/171) through al-Ḥumaydī, as well as by al-Bayhaqī (3/112). Aḥmad said (3/308): Sufyān narrated it to us, and likewise al-Shāfiʿī in the book "al-Umm" (1/152-153), and all three of them said: "A man moved away from behind him and prayed alone." A group of trustworthy shaykhs followed them, among them: 1- Muḥammad ibn Manṣūr. al-Nasāʾī said (1/134): Muḥammad ibn Manṣūr informed us: Sufyān narrated it to us. 2- Ibrāhīm ibn Bashār. Ibn Ḥibbān (4/58-59) and al-Ṭaḥāwī (1/136) narrated it from him: Sufyān narrated to us. 3- Aḥmad ibn ʿAbdah. Ibn Khuzaymah (1/262/521) narrated it from him. 4- ʿAbd al-Jabbār ibn al-ʿAlāʾ. Ibn Khuzaymah also (3/51/1611)
