As for the narrator from al-Haytham: Aḥmad ibn Mulāʿib al-Baghdādī; he is trustworthy and a memorizer, and he has a good biography in "Tārīkh Baghdād" (5/168-170), and al-Dhahabī described him in "al-Siyar" (13/42) as "the imām, the muḥaddith, the memorizer..." Then he mentioned his reliability according to Ibn Kharrāsh and others. This; and the ḥadīth of Abū Saʿīd referred to, I mentioned in "al-Irwāʾ" the statement of al-Haythamī in his takhrīj: "It was narrated by al-Bazzār from Rūḥ ibn Ḥātim, and he is weak, and the rest of the men are trustworthy." Then I reviewed its isnād, and it became clear to me that al-Haythamī was mistaken in weakening its narrator Rūḥ ibn Ḥātim; he was confused, as al-Bazzār said (2/170/1450): Rūḥ ibn Ḥātim Abū Ghasān narrated to us: Mahdī ibn ʿĪsá narrated to us: ʿAbbād ibn ʿAbbād al-Muhallabī narrated to us: Saʿīd ibn Yazīd Abū Maslamah from Abū Naḍrah from Abū Saʿīd in a marfūʿ form similar to the ḥadīth of the chapter, and it describes the woman as "having sunken cheeks." Al-Bazzār said: "We do not know it from Abū Saʿīd except with this isnād, and Abū Maslamah is trustworthy, and Mahdī al-Wāsiṭī is acceptable." I said: Baḥshal mentioned him in "Tārīkh Wāsiṭ" (168), and he narrated for him the ḥadīth of the three who sought refuge in the cave, and he did not mention any criticism or authentication as is his habit, and Ibn Abī Ḥātim said about his father: "truthful and reliable." Abū Zurʿah narrated from him, so he is trustworthy according to him, and Ibn Ḥibbān mentioned him in "al-Thiqāt" (9/201). And the rest of the men of the isnād are trustworthy, the men of Muslim; except for Rūḥ ibn Ḥātim Abū Ghasān, Ibn Abī Ḥātim said (1/2/500):
