and the rest of the men in the isnād are trustworthy; as for Abū ʿAlī ibn Ibrāhīm, the teacher of Abū al-Shaykh, he has been mentioned in his book, and he named him Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad ibn Ibrāhīm al-Muṣāḥafī, and he said (442/643): "A shaykh with many ḥadīths from the Iraqis and the people of Iṣfahān, trustworthy, died in the year [three hundred thirty-four]." As for Muḥammad ibn ʿĀmir, he is the son of Ibrāhīm ibn Wāqid Abū ʿAbd Allāh. Ibn Abī Ḥātim said (4/1/44): "I heard from him in (Iṣfahān), and he was truthful." Al-Dhahabī described him in "al-Siyar" (12/594) as: "the eminent scholar... died in the year 267." As for his father, ʿĀmir ibn Ibrāhīm, he is trustworthy and one of the men of al-Nasāʾī. Similarly, al-Nuʿmān, who is ibn ʿAbd al-Salām al-Iṣfahānī. As for Ḥātim ibn Yūnus, who mentioned that Abū Bakr, the teacher of al-Nuʿmān, is from the people of Basra, Abū al-Shaykh mentioned him in his book (237/270) and said: "Jurjānī, he came to Iṣfahān, was one of the preservers, and used to discuss." Abū Nuʿaym also said (1/297), and similarly in "Tārīkh Jurjān" (203/297). The ḥadīth was mentioned by al-Haythamī in "Majmaʿ al-Zawāʾid" (10/181) with the wording of the translation except for the last sentence, and he said:
