they claim that no deed is beneficial without migration and striving in the path of Allāh? The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said:... and he mentioned it. I said: This isnād is good; its narrators are trustworthy, the narrators of the two Shaykhs, except for Isḥāq ibn Suwayd al-Ramlī, who is trustworthy. And Yaḥyá ibn ʿUmayr, Ibn Abī Ḥātim said about him from his father (9/178/738): "His ḥadīth is sound." Ibn Ḥibbān mentioned him in "al-Thiqāt" (7/602), and a group of trustworthy narrators reported from him, other than Ibn Abī Uways—who is Ismāʿīl—, so his ḥadīth is at least good, and therefore al-Dhahabī said in "al-Kāshif": "Truthful." And this is more accurate than what the Ḥāfiẓ said about him: "Acceptable"! This is because trustworthy narrators reported from him, and they are five: 1- Ibn Abī Uways. 2- Khālid ibn Makhlad. 3- ʿAbd Allāh ibn Maslamah al-Qaʿnabī. 4- Muḥammad ibn Khālid ibn ʿAthmah. 5- Maʿn ibn ʿĪsá. And the ḥadīth was also reported by al-Bayhaqī (9/17) similar to the ḥadīth of the chapter through the route of al-ʿAbbās
