and similarly, it was narrated by Abū Bakr ibn Abī Shaybah from Abū Usāmah: Ibn ʿAsākir included it in "Tārīkh Dimashq" (9/557), but in his narration through Abū Dāwūd: narrated to us by Yaḥyá ibn ʿAlī: narrated to us by Abū Usāmah with it, and added: ʿUrwah said: ʿĀʾishah informed me, saying: Abū Bakr passed away and did not leave a dinar or a dirham. Thus, it appears that the origin of this report is connected to ʿĀʾishah, and they did not go beyond ʿUrwah with it due to its fame from her, so some mentioned her, including Saʿīd ibn Sulaymān. I previously mentioned that he is the weak al-Nashīṭī because Abū Zurʿah narrated from him, and due to his contradiction of the trustworthy; then it occurred to me that he is Saʿīd ibn Sulaymān al-Wāsiṭī, known as "Saʿdawayh," the trustworthy, because he is the one mentioned among the narrators from Abū Usāmah—whose name is Ḥammād ibn Usāmah—in "al-Jarḥ wa-al-Taʿdīl" (1/2/132) and "Tahdhīb al-Mizzī" (7/220), and also because Ibn Ḥibbān only declared this al-Wāsiṭī trustworthy (8/267), so it is unlikely that he would narrate in his "Ṣaḥīḥ" from his namesake al-Nashīṭī, although Abū Zurʿah narrated from both of them. This is from his narration from Saʿīd ibn Sulaymān without attribution, which was a cause for error, so all praise is due to Allāh who guided us to this, and we would not have been guided had Allāh not guided us. Thus, we ascertain the authenticity of this ḥadīth of ʿĀʾishah, and all praise is due to Allāh. It is supported by the ḥadīth of Abū Hurayrah, raised [to the Prophet]: "No wealth benefited me as the wealth of Abū Bakr benefited me." Its extraction has been previously mentioned under number (2718). There is also a corroborating report for the ḥadīth of the chapter from the ḥadīth of Abū Umāmah with isnāds that have some discussion: Ibn ʿAsākir included them (9/580-583)
