such weakening for its own sake incites the resentment of some ignorant novices, who consider it a contradiction and ignorance; like the one named Ḥasan al-Saqqāf, who claims descent from the pure family of the Prophet, and is adept at turning truth into falsehood and correctness into error. He has dedicated himself and made it his habit to refute al-Albānī, producing many writings in this regard, including one he recently published titled "The Contradictions of al-Albānī...". The esteemed brother ʿAlī al-Ḥalabī has spared me the effort of responding to him and exposing his falsehood, slander, ignorance, and misguidance in his valuable book "The Illuminating Lights Unveiling the False Contradictions of al-Khassāf and Exposing the Deviation, Distortion, and Recklessness within Them". I draw attention to it, for it has greatly benefited many, including some who were previously deceived by him, once they learned and were just. However, I wish to say to him here (in a gentle manner, perhaps he may remember or fear): First: Are you infallible so that no scientific error occurs from you? If he answers that he is not infallible and that error is possible from him—as is truly required of a believer—I would say: Second: If you later realize the truth, do you return to it—as al-Albānī does—or do you persist in your error? If you answer affirmatively—as a believer should—then why do you call al-Albānī's return to the truth an error, instead of encouraging him to always and forever return to the truth, even though he, by the grace of Allāh, does not need encouragement from someone like you?!!! Isn't your "contradiction"! and your refusal to retract it one of the greatest proofs that there is something hidden behind the scenes?! In conclusion, I ask Allāh ﵎ to guide you to learn the knowledge of the Book and the sunnah together and according to the methodology of the righteous predecessors, so that those deceived by you may be saved from your misguidance, otherwise... she has brought ruin upon herself. As for me, I hope from Him, the Exalted, that He increases my success in serving the ḥadīth and the sunnah and defending them, that He guides my steps in this, and that He makes it a reason to forgive my sin on the Day of Judgment
ذاك التضعيف لذاته مما يشير حفيظة بعض الجهلة الأغرار، ويعدُّه تناقضاً وجهلاً؛ كذاك المسمى بحسن السقاف، والمنتسب إلى آل البيت الأطهار، والشاطر في قلب الحق باطلاً، والصواب خطأ، وقد نذر نفسه، وجعل دأبه الرد على الألباني، فكم له من رسالة في ذلك، منها ما أظهره أخيراً بعنوان؛ "تناقضات الألباني.. "، وقد كفاني مؤنة الرد عليه والكشف عن زوره وبهتانه، وجهله وضلاله: الأخ الفاضل علي الحلبي في كتابه القيم "الأنوار الكاشفة لـ "تناقضات " الخساف الزائفة وكشف ما فيها من الزيغ والتحريف والمجازفة"؛ فإليها ألفت الأنظار؛ فقد نفع الله بها كثيراً، حتى بعض المغرورين به سابقاً حينما علموا وأنصفوا. ولكني أريد هنا أن أقول له (قولاً ليناً لعله يتذكر أو يخشى) :أولاً: هل أنت معصوم فلا يقع منك خطأ علمي ما؟ فإن أجاب بأنه ليس بمعصوم، وأن الخطأ منه وارد- كما هو الواجب على المؤمن حقّاً- قلت:ثانياً: فإذا تبين لك الصواب فيما بعد؛ هل ترجع إليه- كما يفعل الألباني- أم تصرُّ عليه؟ فإن أجبت بالإيجاب- كما هو جواب المؤمن- فلماذا تسمي إذن تراجع الألباني إلى الصواب خطأ، بديل أن تشجعه على الرجوع إلى الصواب دائماً وأبداً، وإن كان هو بفضل الله ليس بحاجة إلى تشجيع واحد مثلك؟!!! أليس "تناقضك "! وعدم تراجعك عنه من أكبر الأدلة على أن وراء الأكمة ما وراءها؟! وختاماً أسأل الله ﵎ أن يهديك إلى أن تتعلم علم الكتاب والسنة معاً وعلى منهج السلف الصالح، حتى ينجو المغرر بهم من ضلالك، وإلا ... فعلى نفسها جنت براقش. وأما أنا؛ فإني أرجو منه تعالى أن يزيدني توفيقاً في خدمة الحديث والسنة والانتصار لها، وأن يسدد في ذلك خطاي، وأن يجعل ذلك سبباً ليغفر لي خطيئتي يوم الدين.
