I said: He has two other chains from Ibn ʿAbbās that strengthen it: the first is narrated by Abū Muʿādh from Abū Bishr Jaʿfar ibn Abī Waḥshiyyah from Saʿīd ibn Jubayr from him, elevated [to the Prophet] with the wording: "There is no believer except that he has a sin that he commits from time to time; indeed, the believer is forgetful; when reminded, he remembers." It was recorded by al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Muʿjam al-Awsaṭ" (2/60/2/6011), and he said: "No one narrated it from Abū Bishr except Abū Muʿādh, who is Sulaymān ibn Arqam." I said: al-Ḥāfiẓ said: "weak." And al-Dhahabī said: "abandoned." I said: The third chain suffices, for it is authentic: it is narrated by ʿIkrimah from Ibn ʿAbbās, elevated [to the Prophet] with a more complete wording, and its extraction has been previously mentioned under number (2276). And al-Haythamī said below it (10/201): "It was narrated by al-Ṭabarānī in 'al-Kabīr' and 'al-Awsaṭ' in a summarized form, and one of the chains in 'al-Kabīr' is reliable, and it has the context." meaning this chain of ʿIkrimah. *
