however, he did not narrate it exclusively. Baqiyyah said: Bishr ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn Yasār narrated to me: and ʿUbādah ibn Nasī narrated to me from Junādah ibn Abī Umayyah from ʿUbādah ibn al-Ṣāmit a report similar to this, and the first is more complete. I said: What do you think about it, O Messenger of Allāh! He said: A burning ember between your shoulders that you have taken upon yourself or attached. It was recorded by Abū Dāwūd and from him by al-Bayhaqī, who said: "This ḥadīth is disputed regarding ʿUbādah ibn Nasī as you see." Meaning that al-Mughīrah ibn Ziyād named the teacher of Ibn Nasī as al-Aswad ibn Thaʿlabah, while Bishr ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn Yasār named him as Junādah ibn Abī Umayyah. In my critique, this is not a contradiction, as it is possible that Ibn Nasī had two teachers for this, and he would sometimes narrate from one and sometimes from the other. Each of al-Mughīrah and Bishr narrated what they heard from him. It seems that due to what we mentioned, Ibn Ḥazm did not criticize it for the mentioned difference, but rather criticized the first chain for the unknown status of al-Aswad, and criticized the other by saying: "Baqiyyah is weak." I said: What is established about Baqiyyah is that he is truthful, so his ḥadīth is ḥasan unless he uses ambiguous terms, in which case it is not used as evidence. In this ḥadīth, he explicitly stated the narration, so we are safe from his tadlīs. Moreover, he did not narrate it exclusively. Imām Aḥmad (5/324) said: Abū al-Mughīrah narrated to us, Bishr ibn ʿAbd Allāh, meaning Ibn Yasār, narrated it. From this perspective, it was also recorded by al-Ḥākim (3/356), who said: "The isnād is authentic." al-Dhahabī agreed with him. I said: It is as they said, if Allāh wills, for all its narrators are trustworthy and well-known except for this Bishr, from whom a group has narrated and Ibn Ḥibbān declared him trustworthy. Al-Ḥāfiẓ said about him: "Truthful."
لكنه لم يتفرد به، فقال بقية: حدثني بشر ابن عبد الله بن يسار: وحدثني عبادة بن نسي عن جنادة بن أبي أمية عن عبادة ابن الصامت نحو هذا الخبر والأول أتم: فقلت: ما ترى فيها يا رسول الله! فقال: جمرة بين كتفيك تقلدتها أو تعلقها. أخرجه أبو داود وعنه البيهقي وقال:" هذا حديث مختلف فيه على عبادة بن نسي كما ترى ". يعني أن المغيرة بن زياد سمى شيخ ابن نسي الأسود بن ثعلبة، وبشر بن عبد الله بن يسار سماه جنادة بن أبي أمية، وليس هذا في نقدي اختلافا، لاحتمال أن يكون لابن نسي فيه شيخان، فكان يرويه تارة عن هذا، وتارة عن هذا، فروى كل من المغيرة وبشر ما سمع منه، وكأنه لما ذكرنا لم يعله ابن حزم بالاختلاف المذكور، بل أعل الطريق الأولى بجهالة الأسود، وأعل الأخرى بقوله: " بقية ضعيف ". قلت: والمتقرر في بقية أنه صدوق فهو حسن الحديث إلا إذا عنعن فلا يحتج به حينئذ، وفي هذا الحديث قد صرح بالتحديث فأمنا بذلك تدليسه، على أنه لم يتفرد به، فقال الإمام أحمد (٥ / ٣٢٤) : حدثنا أبو المغيرة حدثنا بشر بن عبد الله يعني ابن يسار به. ومن هذا الوجه أخرجه الحاكم (٣ / ٣٥٦) أيضا وقال:" صحيح الإسناد ". ووافقه الذهبي. قلت: وهو كما قالا إن شاء الله تعالى فإن رجاله كلهم ثقات معروفون غير بشر هذا، وقد روى عنه جماعة ووثقه ابن حبان، وقال الحافظ فيه: " صدوق ".
