"they are the fiercest fighters in the battles." Al-Ḥākim said: "A ṣaḥīḥ ḥadīth according to the criteria of Muslim." Al-Dhahabī approved it, and perhaps Al-Ḥākim included it in his collection because Muslim did not narrate it in full; he only mentioned a portion concerning the battles and referred the rest to a previous ḥadīth from the narration of Abū Zurʿah, who said: Abū Hurayrah said... and he mentioned the ḥadīth in full, similar to it. And he said in the statement: "they are the strongest of my ummah against the Dajjāl." Similarly, it was recorded by al-Bukhārī (2543 and 4366), and Abū Yaʿlá in "his Musnad" (10/493/6108), and through his route: al-Bayhaqī (7/11). Aḥmad also recorded it (2/390) in a shortened form with the wording: "This is the charity of my people, and they are the strongest against the Dajjāl, meaning: Banū Tamīm." Abū Hurayrah said: There was no tribe among the living more hateful to me than them, but I loved them since I heard the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) say this. The ḥadīth of the chapter has two supporting narrations: one from the ḥadīth of Ibn ʿUmar, with a good chain, authenticated by al-Ḥāfiẓ Ibn Ḥajar in "Mukhtaṣar al-Zawāʾid" (2/382). The other is from the ḥadīth of Ibn Masʿūd, with a weak chain. Both were narrated by al-Bazzār, and they are included in the other book (5731). *
"هم أشد قتالاً في الملاحم ". وقال الحاكم:"حديث صحيح على شرط مسلم ".وبيض له الذهبي، ولعل الحاكم إنما استدركه على مسلم؛ لأنه لم يسقه بتمامه وإنما ساق منه جملة الملاحم، وأحال سائره على حديث قبله من رواية أبي زرعة قال: قال أبو هريرة ... فذكر الحديث بتمامه نحوه. وقال في الجملة:"هم أشد أمتي على الدجال ". وهكذا أخرجه البخاري (٢٥٤٣ و ٤٣٦٦) ، وأبو يعلى في "مسنده " (١٠/٤٩٣/٦١٠٨) ، ومن طريقه: البيهقي (٧/١١) . وأخرجه أحمد (٢/٣٩٠) مختصراً بلفظ:"هذه صدقة قومي، وهم أشد الناس على الدجال. يعني: بني تميم ". قال أبو هريرة: ما كان قوم من الأحياء أبغض إلي منهم، فأحببتهم منذ سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول هذا. وحديث الترجمة له شاهدان:أحدهما: من حديث ابن عمر، بسند حسن، وصححه الحافظ ابن حجر في "مختصر الزوائد " (٢/٣٨٢) . والآخر: من حديث ابن مسعود، بسند ضعيف.رواهما البزار، وهما مخرجان في الكتاب الآخر (٥٧٣١) . *
