but in a narration by al-Khaṭīb from the path of Ibn Lahīʿah from ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz ibn Ṣāliḥ from Yazīd ibn Abī Yazīd, he said: I performed ḥajj with my wife, Umm Sulaym, and I entered upon ʿĀʾishah ... and she mentioned a similar ḥadīth. I say: If this narration is preserved, and it is established that this Yazīd accompanied his wife in entering upon ʿĀʾishah (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhā) and heard this ḥadīth from her, then the isnād is good, and the ḥadīth is authentic. Otherwise, it is considered ḥasan due to other supporting evidence, as it has many witnesses, including the saying of the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) in a ḥadīth narrated by Buraydah (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhu): "I forbade you from storing the meat of the sacrificial animals beyond three days, so keep it as you wish..." It was narrated by Muslim and Ibn Ḥibbān (5367) and others; it is also extracted in "Aḥkām al-Janāʾiz" (pp. 227-228, al-Maʿārif). A similar narration was reported from other Companions, so refer to "Majmaʿ al-Zawāʾid" (4/25-27). It has been authentically reported from a group of Companions that they used to carry the meat of the sacrificial animals and offerings to Madīnah, and its extraction has been previously mentioned under number (805).
