- "Eat it from Dhū al-Ḥijjah to Dhū al-Ḥijjah." Meaning: the meat of the sacrificial animals. Narrated by al-Bukhārī in "al-Tārīkh" (4/2/370-371), al-Ṭaḥāwī in "Sharḥ Maʿānī al-Āthār" (2/308), Ibn Ḥibbān in "Ṣaḥīḥ" (7/569/5903), Aḥmad (6/155), and al-Khaṭīb in "al-Mawḍiḥ" (1/202) from Yazīd ibn Abī Yazīd al-Anṣārī from his wife: that she asked ʿĀʾishah about the meat of the sacrificial animals? ʿĀʾishah said: ʿAlī returned to us from a journey, so we offered him some of it, and he said: I will not eat it until I ask the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) about it. She said: So ʿAlī asked him? The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said... and he mentioned it. I say: This isnād is acceptable as a supporting evidence; because this Yazīd, al-Bukhārī mentioned him with this ḥadīth and did not criticize or approve him, and likewise did Ibn Abī Ḥātim (4/2/298). As for Ibn Ḥibbān, he mentioned him in "al-Thiqāt" (7/631) with the narration of al-Ḥārith ibn Yaʿqūb al-Anṣārī from him, who is trustworthy, and two other trustworthy narrators narrated from him as can be deduced from "al-Tārīkh" and "al-Mawḍiḥ"; they are: Bukayr ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn al-Ashajj, and Bakr ibn Sawādah, and a fourth who is ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz ibn Ṣāliḥ, and Ibn Ḥibbān mentioned him in "al-Thiqāt" (7/112), and al-Ḥāfiẓ mentioned them in his biography in "al-Taʿjīl" (p. 454); he is truthful, if Allāh wills. As for his wife, I do not know her, and she appeared in Ibn Ḥibbān's narration with the kunyah "Umm Sulaym." Al-Ḥāfiẓ mentioned her in "Kunā al-Nisāʾ" from "al-Taʿjīl" and did not add more than saying about her: "She was mentioned in the biography of her husband Yazīd"!
- (كُلُوهُ من ذِي الحجَّةِ إلى ذي الحجَّةِ. يعني: لحمَ الأضاحي) . أخرجه البخاري في " التاريخ " (٤/٢/٣٧٠- ٣٧١) ، والطحاوي في "شرح معاني الآثار" (٢/٣٠٨) ، وابن حبان في "صحيحه " (٧/٥٦٩/٥٩٠٣) ، وأحمد (٦/١٥٥) ، والخطيب في "الموضح " (١/٢٠٢) عن يزيد بن أبي يزيد الأنصاري عن امرأته: أنها سألت عائشة عن لحوم الأضاحي؟ فقالت عائشة:قدم علينا علي من سفر، فقدمنا إليه منه، فقال: لا آكله حتى أسأل عنه رسول الله ﷺ، قالت: فسأله علي؟ فقال رسول الله ﷺ ... فذكره. قلت: وهذا إسناد لا بأس به في الشواهد؛ لأن يزيد هذا، أورده البخاري بهذا الحديث، ولم يتكلم عليه بجرح ولا تعديل، وكذلك فعل ابن أبي حاتم (٤/٢/٢٩٨) ، وأما ابن حبان فذكره في "الثقات " (٧/٦٣١) برواية الحارث بن يعقوب الأنصاري عنه وهو ثقة، وروى عنه ثقتان آخران كما يؤخذ من "التاريخ "، و "الموضح "؟ وهما: بكير بن عبد الله بن الأشج، وبكر بن سوادة، ورابع وهو عبد العزيز بن صالح، وذكره ابن حبان في "الثقات " (٧/١١٢) ، وذكرهم الحافظ في ترجمته من "التعجيل " (ص ٤٥٤) ؛ فهو صدوق إن شاء الله تعالى. وأما امرأته فلم أعرفها، وقد جاءت في رواية ابن حبان مكنية بـ " أم سليم ". وقد أوردها الحافظ في " كنى النساء " من " التعجيل " فلم يزد على قوله فيها:"تقدمت في ترجمة زوجها يزيد"!
