"a man from Quraysh will be buried in Mecca, upon whom will be half the punishment of the world." I said: This isnād has trustworthy men; however, I find two defects in it: the first is the discontinuity between Ibn Marwān and al-Mughīrah; and al-Haythamī criticized it for this reason, saying (7/230): "It was narrated by Aḥmad, and its men are trustworthy, except that Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd al-Malik ibn Marwān, I did not find any evidence of his hearing from al-Mughīrah." I said: Rather, they did not mention any narration from him about a Companion, and for this reason, Ibn Ḥibbān included him among the Followers of the Followers in his "Thiqāt" (7/435), and Ibn Abī Ḥātim explicitly mentioned the discontinuity, saying in "al-Jarḥ" (4/1/4): "He narrated from al-Mughīrah ibn Shuʿbah; mursal, and from those who heard from Muʿāwiyah." This discontinuity was supported by Shaykh Aḥmad Shākir (raḥimahu Allāh) in his commentary on "al-Musnad" (1/369). The other [defect] is the tadlīs of al-Walīd ibn Muslim; for he used to practice tadlīs al-taswiyah, and it is not sufficient for him to merely state his hearing from his shaykh, but he must also explicitly state it for those above him, as is known in the science of terminology. For this reason, al-Ḥāfiẓ said in "Juzʾ Māʾ Zamzam Limā Shuriba Bih" (2/2): "And al-Walīd practices tadlīs and levels, so only what he explicitly states as having been narrated by him and his shaykh is accepted from his ḥadīth." In summary, the ḥadīth is authentic from the route of Hāshim ibn al-Qāsim and similar routes that do not mention ʿAbd Allāh ibn al-Zubayr (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhu). *
" يُلحِد رجل من قريش بمكة، يكون عليه نصف عذاب العالم ". قلت: وهذا إسناد رجاله ثقات؛ لكن له عندي علتان:الأولى: الانقطاع بين ابن مروان والمغيرة؛ وبه أعله الهيثمي فقال (٧/٢٣٠) :"رواه أحمد، ورجاله ثقات، إلا أن محمد بن عبد الملك بن مروان لم أجد له سماعاً من المغيرة". قلت: بل لم يذكروا له رواية عن صحابي، ولذلك؛ أورده ابن حبان في أتباع التابعين من "ثقاته " (٧/٤٣٥) ، وصرح ابن أبي حاتم بالانقطاع فقال في "الجرح " (٤/١/٤) :" روى عن المغيرة بن شعبة؛ مرسل، وعمن سمع معاوية ". وأيد هذا الانقطاع الشيخ أحمد شاكر ﵀ في تعليقه على "المسند" (١/٣٦٩) . والأخرى: تدليس الوليد بن مسلم؛ فإنه كان يدلس تدليس التسوية، ومثله لا يكتفى منه بتصريحه بسماعه من شيخه فقط، بل لا بد من التصريح به فيمن فوقه أيضاً، كما هو معلوم من علم المصطلح، ولهذا قال الحافظ في "جزء ماء زمزم لما شرب به " (٢/٢) :"والوليد يدلس فيسوي، فلا يقبل من حديثه إلا ما صرح فيه بالتحديث له ولشيخه ". وجملة القول؛ أن الحديث صحيح من طريق هاشم بن القاسم ونحوها مما ليس فيه ذكر لعبد الله بن الزبير ﵁. *
