(1) - (Whoever eats from these two foul plants should not come near our mosque. If you must eat them, then kill their odor by cooking them). It was recorded by Abū Dāwūd (3827), al-Nasāʾī in "al-Sunan al-Kubrā" (4/158/6681), al-Ṭaḥāwī in "Sharḥ al-Maʿānī" (2/338), al-Bayhaqī in "al-Sunan" (3/78), and "al-Shuʿab" (5/105/5962), Ibn ʿAdī in "al-Kāmil" (3/20-21), Aḥmad (4/19), and al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Muʿjam al-Kabīr" (19/30/65) from various chains from Khālid ibn Maysarah from Muʿāwiyah ibn Qurrah from his father; that the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said ... and he mentioned it. Ibn ʿAdī mentioned it in the biography of (Khālid), saying: "He has other narrations, and to me, he is truthful; for I have not seen any rejected ḥadīth from him." For this reason, Ibn Ḥibbān mentioned him in "al-Thiqāt" (6/265), and al-Dhahabī said in "al-Kāshif": "Truthful." Al-Ḥāfiẓ in "al-Taqrīb": "Sound in ḥadīth." I say: He also has another ḥadīth with al-Ṭabarānī and likewise al-Nasāʾī regarding condolences and the virtue of one who has lost a child, and al-Ḥāfiẓ authenticated it in "al-Fatḥ" (3/121). He was also followed by Shuʿbah; with al-Ḥākim and others, and it is included in "Aḥkām al-Janāʾiz" (205)
