ʿĀʾishah (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhā) said: I said: O Messenger of Allāh! What do you think if you descended into a valley and there was a tree from which some had eaten, and you found trees from which none had eaten; where would you let your camel graze? He said ... and mentioned it. Meaning: the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) did not marry any virgin other than her. The ḥāfiẓ said: "And Sulaymān is Ibn Bilāl, and Abū Nuʿaym included it in 'al-Mustakhraj'..." and the ḥāfiẓ Ibn Kathīr said in 'al-Bidāyah' (3/130): "al-Bukhārī alone narrated it." I said: meaning without Muslim. So the statement of the scholar Aḥmad ʿUbayd (raḥimahu Allāh) in his commentary on 'Rawḍat al-Muḥibbīn' by Ibn al-Qayyim (p. 242): "al-Muḥibb al-Ṭabarī said in 'Manāqib Ummahāt al-Muʾminīn': Muslim and Abū Ḥātim narrated it." I said: this is an error from him or from al-Muḥibb, and perhaps he intended to say: "al-Bukhārī" but said: "Muslim." For the ḥāfiẓ al-Mizzī in 'Tuḥfat al-Ashrāf' (12/155) attributed it only to al-Bukhārī. And I found a corroborator for Sulaymān ibn Bilāl, but it is weak, which is ʿImrān ibn Abī al-Faḍl from Hishām ibn ʿUrwah with his isnād from her, she said: "O Messenger of Allāh! What do you think if you descended into a valley where all its trees were stripped except for one tree; where would you descend? He said: on the tree that was not stripped. She said: I am that tree." Ibn ʿAdī included it in 'al-Kāmil' (5/95) in the biography of this ʿImrān from the narration of Ismāʿīl ibn ʿAyyāsh from him. And he said in it:
