and Ibn ʿUlayyah corroborated him according to al-Ṭabarī, and ʿAbd al-Wahhāb al-Thaqafī according to Ibn Abī Ḥātim in his "Tafsīr" (folio 157/1). The second: from him, from Ibn ʿAbbās who said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said... and he mentioned it in full. It was recorded by al-Ḥākim (2/342) through the route of ʿAbd al-Razzāq from Maʿmar from Abū ʿAmr al-Baṣrī from him. He said: "Authentic according to the criteria of the two Shaykhs!" And al-Dhahabī agreed with him! I say: This is one of their errors, for this Abū ʿAmr is not among the narrators of the two Shaykhs, nor did any of the remaining six narrate from him. Al-Bukhārī and Ibn Abī Ḥātim mentioned him, but they did not mention any criticism or endorsement of him, and Ibn Ḥibbān included him in "al-Thiqāt" (5/156), and two other trustworthy narrators narrated from him: Umayyah ibn Shibl and ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz ibn Abī Rawād. The third: from him, from Abū Mūsá as a marfūʿ ḥadīth. It was recorded by al-Ṭayālisī in his "Musnad" (509): Shuʿbah narrated to us from Abū Bishr from him. And through the route of al-Ṭayālisī, it was recorded by al-Bazzār (1/16/16 - al-Kashf). Muḥammad ibn Jaʿfar and ʿAffān corroborated him according to Aḥmad (4/396 and 398), and al-Ruyānī in his "Musnad" (1/109/1), and Ibn al-Mubārak according to al-Ṭabarī. Abū al-Walīd corroborated them: Shuʿbah narrated to us with it. It was recorded by Ibn Ḥibbān in his "Ṣaḥīḥ" (4860 - al-Iḥsān); however, some words were omitted from it, leaving only what corrupted the meaning: "Whoever hears a Jew or a Christian enters the Fire"!
