"I said: And its narrators are trustworthy, the narrators of Muslim. Ḥammād was followed; ʿAbd al-Razzāq said (2/39/2402): from Maʿmar and Ibn ʿUyaynah from ʿAmr ibn Dīnār from a man from Banī Ghifār from Abū Baṣrah with it. And in another narration of his (2400) from Maʿmar from Ibn Dīnār from a man he named from Abū Dharr with it. He did not mention: "from Abū Baṣrah," and perhaps this is correct; for the man is Abū Baṣrah as in the narration of Ḥammād ibn Salamah. And Allāh knows best. Then, even if the ḥadīth is mawqūf, it is considered marfūʿ, for the reward mentioned in it is not said based on mere opinion, as is apparent—And Allāh knows best—especially since its origin has been authentically reported as marfūʿ; al-Ṭayālisī said (470): Sufyān ibn ʿUyaynah narrated to us from Ibn Abī Najīḥ from Mujāhid from Abū Dharr who said: I asked the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) about everything, even about wiping the pebbles? He said: "Once." And likewise, it was narrated by ʿAbd al-Razzāq (2404). And its isnād is authentic if Mujāhid heard it from Abū Dharr, for al-Ṭayālisī said after it: "And Sufyān said: from al-Aʿmash from Mujāhid from Ibn Abī Laylā from Abū Dharr from the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) similarly." And it was connected by ʿAbd al-Razzāq (2403), Ibn Abī Shaybah, and al-Bazzār (1/275/570) through two chains from Ibn Abī Laylā from ʿĪsá ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Abī Laylā from his father from Abū Dharr with it, and he added at the end: ".... and if not, then leave it." And likewise, it was narrated by al-Ṭaḥāwī (2/183), and Aḥmad (5/163)
