Abū Dharr said: "I saw the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) laugh until his molar teeth were visible." It was recorded by Wakīʿ in "al-Zuhd" (2/651/367): "Al-Aʿmash narrated to us from al-Maʿrūr ibn Suwayd from Abū Dharr who said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said..." and he mentioned it. Through the route of Wakīʿ, it was also recorded by Aḥmad (5/157), Hunnād in "al-Zuhd" (2/155/211), Abū ʿAwānah in "Ṣaḥīḥ" (1/170), and by Muslim as well (1/122), although he did not provide its wording, but rather referred to the wording of ʿAbd Allāh ibn Numayr which follows, and it includes an addition at the beginning. Al-Ḥusayn ibn Ḥurayth deviated; he said: "Wakīʿ narrated it to us," and he added the addition with the wording: "Indeed, I know the last man to enter Paradise, and the last man to exit from the Fire; a man will be brought..." the ḥadīth. It was recorded by al-Tirmidhī in "al-Shamāʾil" (2/20 with the commentary of Shaykh al-Qārī), and through his route by al-Baghawī in "Sharḥ al-Sunnah" (15/192-193). Al-Ḥusayn ibn Ḥurayth is trustworthy among the narrators of the two Shaykhs, but the soul is not at ease with his contradiction of the group’s narration from Wakīʿ. I say this regarding his narration from Wakīʿ, otherwise, others have narrated it from al-Aʿmash. Firstly: ʿAbd Allāh ibn Numayr: "Al-Aʿmash narrated it to us," and his wording is: "Indeed, I know the last of the people of Paradise to enter Paradise, and the last of the people of the Fire to exit from it; a man will be brought..." the ḥadīth. It was recorded by Muslim, Abū ʿAwānah, and al-Bayhaqī in "al-Sunan" (10/190), and in "al-Asmāʾ wa-al-Ṣifāt" (p. 54)
قال أبو ذرٍّ: فلقد رأيتُ رسولَ اللهِ ﷺ ضَحِكَ حتى بَدَتْ نَواجِذُهُ) . أخرجه وكيع في " الزهد " (٢/٦٥١/٣٦٧) : حدثنا الأعمش عن المعرور بن سويد عن أبي ذر قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ ... فذكره ومن طريق وكيع أخرجه أحمد (٥/١٥٧) ، وهناد في "الزهد" (٢/١٥٥/ ٢١١) ، وأبو عوانة في "صحيحه " (١/١٧٠) ، ومسلم أيضاً (١/١٢٢) ، إلا أنه لم يسق لفظه، وإنما أحال به على لفظ عبد الله بن نمير الآتي، وفيه زيادة في أوله. وشذ الحسين بن حريث؛ فقال: حدثنا وكيع به، وزاد الزيادة بلفظ: "إني لأعلم آخر رجل يدخل الجنة، وآخر رجل يخرج من النار؛ يؤتى بالرجل.. " الحديث. أخرجه الترمذي في "الشمائل " (٢/ ٢٠ بشرح الشيخ القاري) ، ومن طريقه البغوي في "شرح السنة" (١٥/١٩٢- ١٩٣) . والحسين بن حريث ثقة من رجال الشيخين، لكن النفس لم تطمئن لمخالفته لرواية الجماعة عن وكيع. أقول هذا بالنسبة لروايته إياها عن وكيع، وإلا فقد رواه غيره عن الأعمش. أولاً: عبد الله بن نمير: حدثنا الأعمش به، ولفظه: "إني لأعلم آخر أهل الجنة دخولاً الجنة، وآخر أهل النار خروجاً منها؛ رجل يؤتى به.. " الحديث. أخرجه مسلم، وأبو عوانة، والبيهقي في "السنن " (١٠/١٩٠) ، وفي "الأسماء والصفات " (ص ٥٤) .
