a ḥasan isnād, and it rises to the level of ṣaḥīḥ with the corroboration of Ṣadaqah ibn Mūsá from Thābit with it. It was recorded by al-Bazzār in "his Musnad" (2/36/1144), and he said: "We do not know anyone who narrated it from Thābit except Ṣadaqah, and he is a Basran, there is no harm in him, but he was not followed up on this, and his ḥadīth was accepted." Thus he said! So it is on one side, and the statement of al-Ṭabarānī is on another side, and Allāh spoke the truth: "And you have not been given of knowledge except a little" (al-Isrāʾ, 85). Al-Ḥāfiẓ critiqued it in "Mukhtaṣar al-Zawāʾid" (1/1/468/79) by saying: "I say: Rather, it is weak; but it was followed up." Thus he asserted here its weakness—referring to Ṣadaqah al-Daqīqī. And similarly, al-Dhahabī said in "al-Kāshif": "He was declared weak." Al-Ḥāfiẓ said in "al-Taqrīb": "Truthful but has errors."
إسناد حسن، ويرتقي إلى الصحة بمتابعة صدقة بن موسى عن ثابت به. أخرجه البزار في "مسنده " (٢/٣٦/١١٤٤)، وقال: "لا نعلم رواه عن ثابت إلا صدقة، وهو بصري، ليس به بأس، ولم يتابع على هذا، واحتمل حديثه". كذا قال! فهو في جانب، وقول الطبراني في جانب، وصدق الله: (وما أوتيتم من العلم إلا قليلاً) [الإسراء/٨٥]. وقد تعقبه الحافظ في "مختصر الزوائد" (١/ ١/٤٦٨/٧٩) بقوله: "قلت: بل هو ضعيف؛ لكن توبع". كذا جزم هنا بضعفه- وهو صدقة الدقيقي-. ونحوه قول الذهبي في "الكاشف ": "ضُعّف". وقال الحافظ في "التقريب ":" صدوق له أوهام".

- (There was a man from those before you who did not do any good deeds at all except tawḥīd. When he was on his deathbed, he said to his family: Look, when I die, burn me until you make me ashes, then grind me, then scatter me on a windy day, [then scatter half of me on land, and half in the sea, for by Allāh, if Allāh is able to bring me back, He will punish me with a punishment that He has not punished anyone among the worlds], so when he died, they did that to him, [then Allāh commanded the land to gather what was in it, and commanded the sea to gather what was in it], and there he was [standing] in the grip of Allāh,
- (كانَ رجلٌ ممَّن كان قبلكم لم يعمل خيراً قطُّ؛ إلا التوحيد، فلما احتُضر قال لأهله: انظروا: إذا أنا متُّ أن يحرِّقوه حتى يدعوه حمماً، ثم اطحنوه، ثم اذروه في يوم ريح، [ثم اذروا نصفه في البر، ونصفه في البحر، فوالله؛ لئن قدر الله عليه ليعذبنه عذاباً لا يعذبه أحداً من العالمين] ، فلما مات فعلوا ذلك به، [فأمر الله البر فجمع ما فيه، وأمر البحر فجمع ما فيه] ، فإذا هو [قائم] في قبضة الله،
