and al-Haythamī said in "Majmaʿ al-Zawāʾid" (2/149): "It was narrated by al-Bazzār and al-Ṭabarānī in 'al-Kabīr', and its isnād is good." I say: This referencing and grading apparently indicate two incorrect matters: one of them is that the isnād of al-Bazzār and al-Ṭabarānī is the same, which is contrary to reality. The other is that the isnād of al-Ṭabarānī is the good one, whereas the correct view is the exact opposite as previously mentioned. The matter was overlooked by Shaykh al-Aʿẓamī, who quoted it from al-Haythamī in his commentary on "Musnad al-Bazzār" without any remark! Then, after him, brother Ḥamdī al-Salafī took from him what pertains to al-Ṭabarānī and said in his commentary on it: "He said in 'al-Majmaʿ' (2/149): and its isnād is good." There is no blame on him regarding his understanding of al-Haythamī's phrase; but he should have studied the isnād while it was before him! These errors and the need to point them out were among the strongest reasons that led me to reference the ḥadīth of Ibn ʿUmar; despite its authenticity and its wide transmission from the other Companions, may Allāh be pleased with them all. *

Then there will be successors who recite the Quran, but it will not go beyond their throats. And the Quran is recited by three: a believer, a hypocrite, and a wicked person." It was recorded by Ibn Ḥibbān (2/67/752-al-Iḥsān); and al-Ḥākim (2/374 and 4/547)
