"Taqrīb"; except that Abū Isḥāq—who is ʿAmr ibn ʿAbd Allāh al-Sabīʿī—is known for tadlīs, and he narrated it with ʿanʿanah. He has another teacher in this regard, so Sufyān said: from Abū Isḥāq from Khumayr ibn Mālik who said: ʿAbd Allāh said: "I recited from the mouth of the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam)..." the ḥadīth. It was recorded by Ibn Abī Shaybah (10/500/10112), Aḥmad (1/389 and 405), al-Ṭabarānī (8435), and al-Ḥākim (2/228), who authenticated it, as did al-Dhahabī. Its narrators are trustworthy; however, Khumayr was not authenticated by anyone other than Ibn Ḥibbān (4/214), and he mentioned another narrator for him besides Abū Isḥāq. Sufyān was followed by a group according to al-Ṭabarānī, and al-Ṭayālisī (54/405). There are other chains from Ibn Masʿūd; among them: from Zur ibn Ḥubaysh who said: ʿAbd Allāh ibn Masʿūd said... and he mentioned it with wording similar to Khumayr's. It was recorded by al-Ṭabarānī (8441) through the route of Muḥammad ibn Abī ʿUbaydah: narrated to us by his father from al-Aʿmash from Abū Razīn from him. This isnād is authentic, its narrators are trustworthy, the narrators of Muslim, and Abū Razīn's name is Masʿūd ibn Mālik, and Abū ʿUbaydah, the father of Muḥammad, is named ʿAbd al-Malik ibn Masʿūd al-Hudhalī al-Masʿūdī. ʿĀṣim ibn Bahdalah followed Abū Razīn with a shortened version saying: "I took seventy sūrahs from the mouth of the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam), and no one disputes with me about them." It was recorded by al-Ṭayālisī (47/353), Aḥmad (1/453 and 457), and al-Ṭabarānī (8442) through the route of Ḥammād ibn Salamah from him
