and I found a weak corroborator for it—rather, one who is abandoned; it is narrated by Abū ʿUtbah Aḥmad ibn al-Faraj: narrated to us Baqiyyah ibn al-Walīd: narrated to us Abū ʿĀʾidh—who is ʿUfayr ibn Maʿdān: narrated to us ʿAṭāʾ ibn Abī Rabāḥ with it. It was recorded by al-Bayhaqī (4/63) without comment, and perhaps that is because of ʿUfayr ibn Maʿdān, as there is consensus on his weakness. And similarly is Aḥmad ibn al-Faraj, and refer to their biographies in "al-Ḍaʿīfah," volume one. And perhaps the meaning of the ḥadīth is what was narrated by al-Ṣabāḥ Abū ʿAbd Allāh from Jābir from ʿAṭāʾ from Ibn ʿAbbās, raised [to the Prophet] with the wording: "Women have no share in the funeral." It was recorded by al-Bazzār (1/376/793), and al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Muʿjam al-Kabīr" (11/145/11309). And this Jābir is Ibn Yazīd al-Juʿfī; he is weak. And al-Ṣabāḥ Abū ʿAbd Allāh, I did not know him, and al-Haythamī criticized it by saying (3/13): "I did not find anyone who mentioned him." As for al-Ḥāfiẓ, he said in "Mukhtaṣar al-Zawāʾid" (1/348): "al-Ṣabāḥ is weak." In conclusion, I say: if these supporting narrations do not suffice, then the main reliance is on the ḥadīth of Umm ʿAṭiyyah. And Allāh knows best.
وقد وجدت له متابعاً ضعيفاً- بل متروكاً-؛ يرويه أبو عتبة أحمد بن الفرج: ثنا بقية بن الوليد: ثنا أبو عائذ- وهو عُفَيْر بن مَعْدان-: ثنا عطاء بن أبي رباح به. أخرجه البيهقي (٤/٦٣) ساكتاً عنه، ولعل ذلك من أجل عُفير بن معدان؛ فإنه متفق على تضعيفه. ونحوه أحمد بن الفرج، وراجع لترجمتيهما "الضعيفة" المجلد الأول. ولعل بمعنى الحديث ما رواه الصباح أبو عبد الله عن جابر عن عطاء عن ابن عباس مرفوعاً بلفظ:"ليس للنساء في الجنازة نصيب ". أخرجه البزار (١/٣٧٦/٧٩٣)، والطبراني في "المعجم الكبير" (١١/١٤٥/١١٣٠٩). وجابر هذا هو ابن يزيد الجعفي؛ وهو ضعيف. والصباح أبو عبد الله لم أعرفه، وبه أعله الهيثمي فقال (٣/١٣) :" لم أجد من ذكره". وأما الحافظ فقال في "مختصر الزوائد" (١/٣٤٨) :"الصباح ضعيف". وختاماً أقول: هذه الشواهد إن لم تُفِدْ؛ فالعمدة في ذلك حديث أم عطية. والله أعلم.
