Mūsá ibn ʿĪsá al-Jazarī—who is Ṭabarānī's teacher in this matter—for I did not find a biography for them; except that Ṣuhayb was criticized by ʿAbdān for prompting, as will be mentioned shortly. And ʿAbbād ibn Ṣuhayb is disputed; some have deemed him reliable, while Ibn Ḥibbān accused him, and al-Dhahabī asserted in "al-Mīzān" that he is one of the abandoned narrators, mentioning the disagreement about him among the scholars, and al-Ḥāfiẓ added to this in "al-Lisān," mentioning that ʿAbdān said: "People did not accuse him of lying, but rather Ṣuhayb ibn Muḥammad ibn Ṣuhayb prompted him with ḥadīths in the end." And Sulaymān ibn al-Rabīʿ might be the ʿAdawī al-Baṣrī who narrated from ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb and ʿAbd Allāh ibn Buraydah. In "Tārīkh al-Bukhārī" (2/2/12): "Sulaymān Abū al-Rabīʿ al-Hamdānī or al-Hamadhānī, heard from Saʿīd ibn Jubayr and Abū ʿAbd al-Raḥmān al-Sulamī. Ibn al-Mubārak narrated from him, disjointed." It is possible that this is him and that the attribution tool (ibn) is a distortion of the kunya tool (Abū). And Allāh knows best. And this was mentioned by Ibn Ḥibbān in (Followers of the Followers) from his "Thiqāt" (6/389). And he mentioned the previous one in (Followers) (4/309). And he mentioned before him (4/304) (Sulaymān ibn Abī Hind, the client of Zayd ibn al-Khaṭṭāb al-Qurashī, his kunya is Abū al-Rabīʿ, narrates from ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb and Khabbāb ibn al-Aratt. Muḥammad ibn Jaḥādah and Ismāʿīl ibn Samīʿ narrated from him). I said: it is possible that these three are one. And Allāh knows best
