and Sufyān ibn ʿUyaynah also followed them from al-Zuhrī, from Saʿīd ibn al-Musayyab and Ḥarām ibn Saʿd ibn Muḥayṣah that a she-camel belonging to al-Barāʾ ... It was recorded by Aḥmad (5/436) and al-Bayhaqī (8/342). al-Awzāʿī also followed them, but there was a disagreement about his isnād. Abū al-Mughīrah said: al-Awzāʿī narrated to us from al-Zuhrī from Ḥarām ibn Muḥayṣah al-Anṣārī, in a mursal form. It was recorded by al-Bayhaqī (8/341). al-Firyābī said from al-Awzāʿī with it, except that he said: "from al-Barāʾ ibn ʿĀzib," thus connecting it. It was recorded by Abū Dāwūd (2/267) and by him, al-Bayhaqī and al-Ḥākim (2/48). Similarly, Muḥammad ibn Muṣʿab said: al-Awzāʿī narrated to us with it connected. It was recorded by Aḥmad (4/295) and al-Bayhaqī. Likewise, Ayyūb ibn Suwayd said: al-Awzāʿī narrated to us with it. It was recorded by al-Ṭaḥāwī (2/116) and al-Bayhaqī. Thus, these three—al-Firyābī, Muḥammad ibn Muṣʿab, and Ayyūb ibn Suwayd—agreed on connecting it from al-Awzāʿī, which is preferred over the narration of Abū al-Mughīrah from him in a mursal form because they are a group, and he is an individual. Maʿmar also followed them, and there was disagreement about him as well. ʿAbd al-Razzāq said: Maʿmar narrated to us from al-Zuhrī from Ḥarām ibn Muḥayṣah from his father that a she-camel belonging to al-Barāʾ ... the ḥadīth, adding to the isnād "from his father." It was recorded by Abū Dāwūd and Ibn Ḥibbān (1168) and Aḥmad (5/436) and al-Bayhaqī, who said: "Wahīb and Abū Masʿūd al-Zajjāj differed with him regarding Maʿmar, and did not say: 'from his father.'" Ibn al-Turkmanī said: "Ibn ʿAbd al-Barr mentioned with his isnād from Abū Dāwūd who said: No one followed ʿAbd al-Razzāq in his statement:
