from his father. Abū ʿUmar said: They criticized his statement "from his father," and Ibn Ḥazm said it is mursal. I say: However, al-Awzāʿī connected it by mentioning al-Barāʾ in the more reliable of the two narrations from him, and ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿĪsá followed him from al-Zuhrī from Ḥarām ibn Muḥayṣah from al-Barāʾ with it. It was recorded by Ibn Mājah and al-Bayhaqī (8/341-342). ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿĪsá is the son of ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Abī Laylá, and he is reliable and cited in the two Ṣaḥīḥs, so it is a strong corroboration for al-Awzāʿī in connecting it, thus the ḥadīth is authentic, and it is not harmed by the mursal nature from those who transmitted it as such, because the addition of a reliable narrator is accepted, especially when both are reliable. Al-Ḥākim said after al-Awzāʿī’s narration: "Authentic isnād, despite the disagreement between Maʿmar and al-Awzāʿī." Al-Dhahabī agreed with him. This is what they said, and Maʿmar’s disagreement is not considered due to his contradiction of all the reliable narrations in his statement "from his father," as they did not agree on that as mentioned before. If they had pointed to the disagreement of Mālik, al-Layth, and Ibn ʿUyaynah in connecting it, it would have been closer to correctness, although this does not undermine the ḥadīth since it is established as connected through the route of the two reliable narrators as previously mentioned.

- "When you have thrown the pebbles at the Jamrah, everything becomes permissible for you except women." It was recorded by Aḥmad (1/234): Wakīʿ narrated to us, Sufyān narrated to us from Salamah from al-Ḥasan al-ʿUrnī from Ibn ʿAbbās who said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: and he mentioned it, then he said (1/344): Wakīʿ and ʿAbd al-Raḥmān both said: Sufyān narrated it to us. However, he did not say: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said. And he added at the end in both places:
