thus, it is likely that the confusion in the narration of Yaḥyá al-Qaṭṭān is actually from Zaynab bint Kaʿb, as she is not well-known, and only Ibn Ḥibbān has authenticated her. There is no doubt that the narration of ʿAbdullāh ibn Khabbāb is the one that should be relied upon, as al-Ḥāfiẓ al-Mizzī indicated earlier. Similarly, al-Ḥāfiẓ said in "al-Fatḥ" (10/25): "What is in the 'Ṣaḥīḥayn' is more authentic." However, his mention of "Ṣaḥīḥayn" is likely a slip of the pen or a typographical error, because Muslim did not report it except through another route that does not include the story of Qatādah. It is narrated by al-Jurayrī from Abū Naḍrah from Abū Saʿīd al-Khudrī: that the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: "O people of Madīnah! Do not eat the meat of the sacrifices beyond three days." He said: They complained to him that they had dependents and servants, so he said: "Eat, give in charity, and store."
