a typographical error or a slip of the pen, for it contradicts the state of its isnād and does not have a reliable supporting witness to strengthen it in detail, unlike the ḥadīth of the chapter, which is authentic as previously mentioned. Gharīb al-ḥadīth: (dawāḥ) : dawāḥ: something great and exceedingly high, and every great tree is a dūḥah. and (ʿadhq) with a fatḥah: the date palm. End. (Note): The ḥadīth of ʿAbd al-Razzāq found with Ibn Jarīr, was also reported by ʿAbd al-Razzāq in "al-Muṣannaf" (5/406-407) from Maʿmar, but it included: al-Zuhrī informed me saying: Kaʿb ibn Mālik informed me saying: The first issue of reproach against Abū Lubābah was that there was a date palm between him and an orphan, so they disputed before the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam), and the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) ruled in favor of Abū Lubābah. The orphan cried, so the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: "Leave it for him," but he refused. He said: "Give it to him and you will have its like in Paradise," but he refused. Then Ibn al-Daḥdāḥah went and said to Abū Lubābah: Sell me the date palm for two gardens. He said: Yes. Then he went to the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) and said: O Messenger of Allāh! If I give this orphan this date palm, will I have its like in Paradise? He said: Yes, so he gave it to him. He said: Then the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) would say: and he mentioned a ḥadīth similar to the one in the chapter. I said: Kaʿb ibn Mālik is a well-known Companion, and al-Zuhrī did not meet him, and thus Shaykh al-Aʿẓamī (may Allāh have mercy on him) said in his commentary on it: "Perhaps the correct name is ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Kaʿb ibn Mālik."
