The ḥadīth of the chapter was mentioned by al-Haythamī (9/324): "It was narrated by Aḥmad and al-Ṭabarānī, and their narrators are those of the authentic collections." Then he mentioned a corroborating report from the ḥadīth of ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Abzā with an abridged story, but the transcription or printing omitted the ḥadīth's sourcing and commentary on it. - "The Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) set out [to Khaybar] when he appointed Sibāʿ ibn ʿArfaṭah as his deputy over Medina. Abū Hurayrah said: I arrived in Medina as an emigrant and prayed the dawn prayer behind Sibāʿ, [and he recited in the first rakʿah * (Kāf Hā Yā ʿAyn Ṣād) *], and in the second rakʿah he recited * (Woe to those who give less than due) *. Abū Hurayrah said: So I said in the prayer: Woe to Abū so-and-so! He has two measures; when he receives by measure, he takes in full, and when he measures for others, he gives less. When we finished our prayer, we went to Sibāʿ, and he provided us with something until we reached the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) who had conquered Khaybar, and he spoke to the Muslims, so they included us in their shares." It was recorded by al-Bukhārī in "al-Tārīkh al-Ṣaghīr" (pp. 11-12), Ibn Ḥibbān (467), Ibn Saʿd (4/327-328), Aḥmad (2/345-346), al-Bazzār (3/79/2281), and al-Fasawī in "al-Maʿrifah" (3/160), al-Ḥākim (3/36), and al-Bayhaqī in "Dalāʾil al-Nubuwwah" (4/198-199), from the route of ʿArāk ibn Mālik from Abū Hurayrah, who mentioned it. The narration is from al-Fasawī, and it is abridged in al-Bukhārī, al-Bazzār, and al-Ḥākim, with additions by Aḥmad, Ibn Saʿd, and al-Bayhaqī, and al-Ḥākim said:
