it occurred to me that this isnād might be the one about which al-Majd al-Lughawī said: "Its isnād is authentic, and its narrators are relied upon in the two Ṣaḥīḥs." However, the shaykh of Ibn Abī ʿĀṣim in it, "Muḥammad ibn Azhar," is not among their narrators, and he is al-Jawzjānī. Ibn Ḥibbān said in "al-Thiqāt" (9/123): "A shaykh... Aḥmad ibn Sayyār narrated from him (and in 'al-Lisān': Sinān), he narrated many ḥadīths, claimed to have memorized them, and was a companion of Aḥmad ibn Ḥanbal." Then I saw the ḥadīth in "al-Jāmiʿ al-Kabīr" with the wording of Ibn Abī ʿĀṣim, and he said: "It was narrated by al-Daylamī from Anas, and Ibn Abī ʿĀṣim narrated it from Qatādah as mursal, and its isnād is good." - "How many clusters of dates does Abū al-Daḥdāḥ have in Paradise - repeatedly." It was narrated by Aḥmad (3/146), Ibn Ḥibbān (2271 - Mawārid), al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Muʿjam al-Kabīr" (22/300/763), al-Ḥākim (2/20), and through him al-Bayhaqī (3/249/3451), and al-Ḍiyāʾ al-Maqdisī in "al-Mukhtārah" (1/515) through various chains from Ḥammād ibn Salamah: Thābit al-Bunānī narrated to us from Anas ibn Mālik: that a man said: O Messenger of Allāh! So-and-so has a palm tree, and I maintain my palm trees there, so order him to give it to me [so that] I can maintain my garden with it. The Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said to him: "Give it to him in exchange for a palm tree in Paradise."
