(Two Notes): First: The editors of "Ṭabaqāt al-Muḥaddithīn" commented on the biography of Ibrāhīm ibn Ayyūb al-Farsānī (1/190) by saying: "Ibn Abī Ḥātim mentioned it in "al-Jarḥ wa-al-Taʿdīl" (2/50) saying: I asked my father about him, and he said: He is reliable, his place is truthfulness"! So I say: I do not know which edition they are referring to with the mentioned volume and page numbers, for in the original edition from which I quote, the person translated is not in the place indicated by the mentioned numbers, but rather it says: "al-Ḥusayn ibn Ḥafṣ al-Aṣbahānī..
